To all of Nana's Children friends and benefactors:

This is not an easy letter for me to write. Over many years, you have been our friends and supporters helping us carry out the mission of Nana's Children MHF, Inc. Your generosity helped us treat, in school settings, over 1200 children, delivering more than 13,000 sessions of Play Therapy and graduating 60 Practicum Students from local universities. We have also conducted research which has been published in Scientific Journals.

Unfortunately, due to the present economic conditions and a significant decrease in donations and grants, Nana's Board of Directors has been forced to vote in favor of dissolving our foundation.

Although Nana's will close its doors as of December 31, we have secured enough funding to be able to continue services till May of 2010 at the four sites we presently have at the Washington Elementary School District. Our gratitude goes to Molina's Fine Jewelers for putting Nana's once again in their Holiday Gala. Without their help and support Nana's would have closed much sooner.

As Director of Clinical Services, and President of the Board of Directors I want to express my deep gratitude for all the help and support you provided Nana's over the years. Although Nana's will close as a Non-Profit, the model will continue to be used not only in the Washington Elementary School District, but in schools in Central and South America, where I have been presenting, and will continue to present my work.

Lastly, on behalf of all the children that received services thanks to your generosity, although they will never know your name, you have made their lives better, preparing them to succeed academically, and hopefully face a brighter future.

As Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said:"We can't do great things..... we can only do little things with great love"

Happy Holidays and blessings to all,
