Wroxton General Information
TRAVELING IN THE U.K.
- You will be able to change money at both Heathrow and Gatwick. You will also be able to use many ATM cards in the UK, and there are ATM machines available in several locations at both airports.
- June weather in the UK is typically 70-something degrees during the day but it can get chilly at night. You will definitely want to bring an umbrella.
- UK wall sockets are designed for plugs with three square pins. The standard voltage in the UK is 240V AC, 50Hz. This is compared to the US where the voltage is 120V, 60Hz. If you want to use an American electrical appliance while in the UK, you will need an adapter for the plug and most likely need a voltage adapter as well, unless your appliance can cope with 240V (check the specifications printed on the bottom).
